We all know that norms and expectations differ in cultures. After watching this part of the video, I started to think that relationships in general are more yandere-like in Asian cultures.
What do you think?
I'm from one of the more racially diverse Asian countries, and I thought this was a fun take! I wouldn't think relationships here more 'yandere-esque' though that depends on your definition of the term! Maybe the behavior here is a little more of a 'carer' behavior, if I had to find a word for it? As opposed to if you were to compare it against western countries, but it's generally how people are raised here.
However! With the rise of western influence through social medias and such, the dating cultures from abroad does bleed into other countries as well, so the dating scene now is a mixed bag! You'll still find expectations like these, but not every (or many) potential partners will meet these expectations!
But again, this could very well be biased in my view since I was raised in an environment like this! So take it with a pinch of salt! :)
